Carlotta is an Italian designer based in Arles since 2019 where she works as a freelancer in the fields of product design and sustainable material development. Her practice focuses on creating bio-based materials using local resources from the Camargue region, blending the natural world with responsible design practices.

Her research centers on organic materials such as rice straw and the development of bio-materials derived from agricultural resources, local production chains, invasive plant species found in the region, as well as living organisms like fungi. Her work lies at the intersection of science, design, and craftsmanship.
